Must have been a beautiful baby

Within the song, for those who weren't raised by their grandmother or for those who aren't familiar, the narrative voice (Crosby) expresses how he finds the subject (the woman he talks about in the song) to be beautiful and must have been born this way.

Within these claims he says that as a child she must have been exceptionally cute and adorable, enough to win prizes, drive boys wild, been a prize to the family tree, and be the miracle of a century.

It's... a lot of fawning. A lot of praise and adoration in one song about this woman's childhood.

This is not anthropomorphization but genuinely something theyre known to do. I've heard divers say octopuses and cuttlefish get fascinated by hand gestures and will sometimes respond to them like. We probably do look like we have little cephalopods on the ends of our arms, to them. Like we're always putting on a puppet show.

“… but you’ll never be able to beat my Servine!

SERVINE: Servine!

ASH: A Servine?

PIKACHU: Pikaa?

SERVINE: Servine.

WHO’S THAT POKEMON?!

IT’S SERVINE!

SERVINE: Servine!

SERVINE: Servine.

ASH: That’s Servine, it’s gotta be.”
